TORONTO, Ont. - Amado Guevara scored two second-half goals Saturday to lift Toronto FC to a 2-0 victory over the Wizards at BMO Field.

Guevara became the first Toronto FC player to score at least two goals in a match and the club won its third straight match for the first time in club history.

Both goals were unassisted. The first came in the 56th minute after a clearance deflected off a Wizards defender and to the feet of Guevara near the six-yard box. Guevara scored past Wizards goalie Kevin Hartman in spite of an appeal for offside by Wizards captain Jimmy Conrad, who was booked for dissent.

Guevara scored from a free kick in the 77th minute, planting a right-footed shot in the upper-left of the goal past Hartman.

Kansas City had a chance to tie the game in the 67th minute, but substitute Ivan Trujillo's close-range shot was saved by a diving Toronto goalkeeper Greg Sutton.
